Founded in 1892, the prestigious Monmouthshire Golf Club is a course that suits all levels of golfer and indeed all ages.
The course is set against the beautiful scenery of the Usk valley, surrounded by the Blorenge, Sugar Loaf and Skirrid mountains.
It is a superb example of a mature parkland course which, from the back tees, can be as tough as it is beautiful, and is said to be the oldest 18-hole golf course in the County of Monmouthshire.

First Class Golf Facilities: Enjoy unlimited access to The Monmouthshire’s stunning James Braid designed mature parkland course with excellent course facilities and free use of practice range, chipping green, putting green and nets. Tee times can be booked online through the website or by calling the office. Our course is Winter Rated and therefore temporary greens are rarely used.
Extensive Club Fixture List: Our mens, ladies, seniors, juniors, social sections all contribute to the compilation of the club fixture list and social calendar, including Weekly Competitions, Team Golf, Pro Competitions, Social Golf, BBQs, Social Events, Quizzes and more. All these are open to our members and guests are welcome at our social events too.
Members Guests: Your golfing friends are more than welcome at The Monmouthshire and will receive preferential green fee rates.
Handicap: Receive an official world handicap.
Membership Categories & Payment Options: At the Monmouthshire Golf Club we appreciate that not everyone is able to play golf on a regular basis or afford a full membership package. We have therefore created a range of categories to suit all types of members. A variety of payment options are available and we would be happy to discuss these with you.
Members Discounts: All members will receive 10% bar discount, free hire of the function room (FULL Members Only) and reduced buggy hire. Members are also entitled to a James Braid Discount to play at other courses designed by him. County Cards are also available.
Club House: The clubhouse hosts well-appointed changing rooms, two bars, dining area, a small private dining room and outside patio area. All food is freshly prepared on site.
Pro Shop: We have a fully stocked pro shop on site to cater for all your golfing needs. PGA tuition is available from our resident professional Anthony Chaloner.
